Description

If you have pants that are just a size too big and you despise belts and belt buckles, Belt Be Gone! is a simple yet effective to keep your pants from falling off. No more belt buckle poking into your stomach when you sit down. No more sucking in just a little to get your belt to the next notch. Belt Be Gone! connects between any two belt loops of a pair of pants so that you don't even have to unbuckle your belt to take a wizz. Belt Be Gone! prints in roughly 15 minutes using less than 5g of filament and can be made with PLA, TPU, and probably other stuff as well. Belt Be Gone! can be resized in your slicer to achieve the PERFECT fit. You know those days when your pants just stretch on you and get a little too loose and keep falling off your behind? Keep a couple Belt Be Gone!s in your car for a worry-free day. Whatever your situation, Belt Be Gone! has you covered. Once hooked, tension from the belt loops on the pants keep Belt Be Gone! from disconnecting.

Printing: Belt Be Gone! can be printed with PLA, TPU, and probably other materials. If printing with PLA, it should be removed from the print be immediately after the print ends, or if the print ends and Belt Be Gone! has cooled, reheat the bed to 60c and let it warm up once more.

Post-print: Belt Be Gone! should be removed from the printer on the knob size first, and then peeling towards the end with the open slot. Immediately after removing and while the material is still warm and flexible, it should be bent to a crease as shown in the attached photos. If it is bent while it is cool, it will likely snap and break.

How much it takes off: As modeled, this will reduce the distance between any two belt loops to roughly 4". The amount that will be trimmed from the waste line of the pants depends on the length of Belt Be Gone! and the distance between the two belt loops it's connected to. If connected between two belt loops that are 5" apart, it will remove 1" from the waistline, turning a size 38 into a size 37. If connected between two loops that are 7" apart, it will cut 3" off the waist taking a 38 down to a 35.

Resizing: If an exact reduction in the waistline is desired, Belt Be Gone! can be resized. The model consists of 4 segments placed into an assembly. To increase Belt Be Gone! from it's stock size, select the segment where the knob is placed (knob is it's own part) and simply expand the length of that segment. Then select the knob (cone in BambuStudio) and reposition it. To decrease size, follow the same steps but shorten the length of the end segment. To achieve a lower profile, simply select the four main segments of the (everything other than the cone knob and the negative parts) and scale the short end down some.
