Description

UPDATE: I've added a file for an arm with the Bambu Logo. The hinge works with both arms, so it will still work if you've already printed the original.

This is a door stop that is used to keep the door of the X1 or P1S slightly ajar. I use this when prining PLA, to keep the temperature cooler that it would otherwise get to. I do this to reduce the risk of clogging in the hotend, and also for improved quality on larger PLA prints.

Just align it with the magnets that are already built in to the printer, and it's good to go.

This one is a replacement for the door stop I previously designed and used constantly, but kept dropping.

The two parts simply click together, and there are holes for 6mm magnets. There's space for multiple magnets to increase holding power. I used double sided tape to hold the hinge to the printer.

Amazing tolerances, the arm snapped on and rotated with just the perfect amount of friction! Would love to see one with the bambu logo printed flat as a third piece just to reduce filament changes, but honestly there are only so many Bambu symbols one needs on a single printer lol

Hi... Yes, the diameter is 6mm. I used several 2mm magnets until I got the hold I wanted (2 on the printer frame side, and 3 on the door side). You can really use whatever thickness you like since there's plenty of space for different depths. Sorry I can't reply in French.... bonne chance!

I'd actually love something like this for the hinge side of the door to prevent the door from opening too far and shattering the glass. I've seen many horror photos of people accidentally pushing the door past the hinges and the door shattering.

Cool design, though the 2 small magnets next to each other seem to repel each other and make the door do the same. I tried flipping them no matter which way they are orientated same result. But the model is perfect!
