A purge deflector on which you can slide different baskets to save space - this is the mini pms (purge management system) - print it on one plate without support, 0.16mm layer height in about an hour.

Basket(s) locks into place when pushed in and you can reduce vibration sounds with the printable TPU mats, a piece of fabric or a piece of rubber (scroll down for more information).

Standard mini pms

• Upgradeable with different baskets (standard basket, deeper standard basket, XL basket, XXL basket, Monster basket, Thinner standard basket): Baskets
• If you know right away you don't want the standard basket use a “Standard purge deflector” and choose your basket (baskets).
• Stronger basket lock version available, read “stronger basket lock” section in the “Troubleshooting” section below, before printing.
• “Troubleshooting (versions) for the standard edition” available, section below.

Lightweight mini pms

• Smaller and thinner than the "Standard mini pms" so it is printable in under an hour.
• A little bit wobbly but still a full mini pms.

How to print:

If you are not printing this with a print profile: print without support, tolerances are designed for a layer height of 0.16mm and PLA, but other layer heights and filaments could also work.

Vibration noise information

You can use a printable TPU mat, a piece of rubber, folded paper or fabric to reduce vibration noise from the poop in the basket, I used some adhesive strips under the piece to attach it. When printing with specific sideways movements, a vibrating noise can occur when the poop lightly touches the side wall. This is least likely to happen with a rubber or TPU base, alternatively the wall can also be covered with the aforementioned pieces.

How to print TPU mats and TPU inserts with walls:

• You can use the provided print profile or edit your own
• 0.16mm layer hight than edit the strength section:
  • 6 Walls (you can play with that, one loop should be 0.16mm wide)
  • 0 (zero) Top shell layers
  • 6 bottom shell layers (you can play with that, one layer is 0.16mm high, so 6 layers are 0.96mm high)
  • Sparse infill density 10% Honeycomb (you can play with both settings, maybe 15% Gyroid with only 4 bottom shell layers is more silent)

Troubleshooting (versions) for the standard edition:

Have you used a layer height other than 0.16 mm? Then this may be the reason, but you may be able to find a solution below without reprinting

Sits your container too tight on the purge deflector or doesn't slide on?

• Then you can simply grind the small bar on the purge deflector or, of course, print one of the following versions.

Stronger basket lock standard purge deflector

• Use this deflector version if the basket doesn't snaps into place with a light click.
• I used it for PLA-Matte filament from eSun.

More tolerance standard purge deflector

• Use this if a basket for the standard mini pms doesn't fit. This version has more tolerance at the slider (thinner and the lock bar is also thinner).
• In all my tests, I did not have to use this version (I used BambuLab PLA, eSun PLA mat, generic PLA and PETG). So consider checking your layer height again (0.16 mm), try drying the filament and recalibrating your filament before using this version.

Thinner standard basket - for Standard mini pms

• It can occur that the standard basket is too close to the print plate (A1 mini), mostly to a wrong layer height.
• This version is slightly thinner to fix this problem if it is not the layer height.

Update 27.01.2024:

• Vibration damping mats that you can print with TPU are now available for the standard basket and the BIGBOY basket (see instructions before printing).
• All purge deflectors for Standard mini pms sitting now more stable on the purge wiper than the old version.
• The BIG BOY basket is slightly smaller at the back, which has solved a problem when used on the A1 mini.
• The stronger basket lock for special Filaments - purge deflector for Standard mini pms is now suitable for most PLA-Matte filaments without grinding.
  • Very strong basket lock version which you can than customize by grinding has also been added
• A version of the purge deflector for Standard mini pms with greater tolerance is now available (try other versions first before printing)

Update 26.01.2024:

• The baskets for the standard mini PMS (standard basket and BIG BOY basket) are now slightly larger on the right-hand side to catch more of the threads that sometimes fall off the right-hand side of the purge wiper.
• The bevel under the BambuLab lettering has been modified to make it easier for the printer to produce a beautiful result.

Major Update 15.01.2024:

• The old mini-pms is now called Lightweight mini pms, the new one is called Standard mini pms or just mini pms
• All mini pms editions:
  • Fixed adapter (the oval to stuck the mini pms on the printer), see hot fix update 15.01.2024
  • The slider (holder) for the “baskets for mini pms” now click slightly in
  • Chamfer bottom edge instead of rounded for an smoother print
• Standard mini pms (new ones):
  • Significantly more stable than the lightweigt edition thanks to the thicker "purge reflector for standard mini pms".
  • The standard basket is now slightly larger, making it much easier to throw the test strips in and less of the purge shooter goes astray
• Standard mini pms BIG BOY:
  • Thanks to the new design, it is now possible to attach a much larger basket without any losses, the mini BIG BOY (maybe in future comes also a deeper one)
