Description

First large design done by 11 year old son and dad! It pushed Tinkercad and my laptop to the limit!

Following a youtube video on how to make an articulated dragon, he designed most of the dragon himself, with only a few finishing touches by dad.

He would be over the moon if people downloaded his model.

We printed it with Silk Rainbow PLA, so no colour changes needed.

print came out great other than a layer issue on one leg. good detail in the model and the joints seem sufficient for the task at hand. Its a good test of how good your bed adhesion is.

Thanks for the review. I’ve been using the gold PEI plate and had good success with the recommended settings.

It printed great but I think it might break easily if played with.

absolutely love this print!! used cookiecad dark magic. any chance anyone knows if there is a stand available that works with this style? I printed one but I think it was for a different style of dragon.

Looks really pretty in Cookiecad Silk Mermaid PLA, but there was a lot of stringing. However, when I took it off the build plate (after letting it cool sufficiently), several of the joints snapped. I do love the model though! Tell your son he’s a great designer and he should keep doing cool stuff!
