Description

For all the new Bambu A1 and A1 Mini owners looking for a simple and fun multi color print for their AMS lite, Look no further.

This is a remis of the Flat Pocket Whistle by Jonas Daehnert.

I took his model and added a few different patterns to it for multicolor 3d printing.

All of the included STL files have multiple parts built into them. You will need to use a slicer such as PrusaSlicer, SuperSlicer, BambuStudio, or OrcaSlicer. These slicers have a feature that will let you split the STL file into PARTS or OBJECTS.

3mm thick and flat enough to fit in any wallet. Can be attached to keychain, backpack, purse, or necklace. Very loud despite size with a clear double tone. The frequency of the tone is on the higher end but is quite effective at getting peoples attention.

Dimensions: 43 x 22 x 3 mm

PRINTING ON SINGLE COLOR MACHINES

Print without supports using a line width of 0.4mm and a layer height of 0.2mm.

The versions marked as bottom only can be printed on single color machines such as the ender 3. To do this, open it in the slicer and split the STL file into PARTS. You can now Color the various parts of the whistle.

NOTE: For this technique to work, the filament used for the main whistle body must also be used to print at least one of the faces touching the bed. Additionally, If your machine auto levels before each print you must either disable this feature or insure that the print is place on the bed where it will not throw off the auto level sensor. Finally, you will need to make sure that the print is positioned on the bed where it will not interfere with Z homing.

In the case of the Lone Star whistle, there is a specific version available for Single Color Machine Users.

Now that everything is colored the way you want it you can “Turn Off” some of the PARTS. Since you only have a single color machine you must print one color at a time. The color used for the main whistle body must be printed last.

Using the Lone Star Whistle as an example, the main body is yellow. This means i want to start this process with any of the other colors first and do the yellow last.

Turn off PARTS until all object remaining are the same color, now slice the plate and print just that color. Repeat this process for every color saving the color for the main whistle body for last. The last color will print a little on the build plate then will print the rest of the whistle on top of all the other colors

I have included images showing this process but if you need further help just ask. I can put together a video if needed.

PRINTING ON MULTI COLOR MACHINES

Print without supports using a line width of 0.4mm and a layer height of 0.2mm.

If your printing on any multi color machine such as a Bambu with AMS you should be able to simply split the STL into PARTS, color it and the print it. Easy!
