Hinged box for 4 batteries type 18650:

This is a safe storage solution for your batteries type 18650. Those batteries can be a risk when transported without an enclosure. With this box you can store 4 batteries is a safe way.

A hinged box print in place, in 1 piece. No assembly needed.

The box has an inner closing mechanism, but when you store heavier things like batteries, an extra closing system is advised.

There are 2 print profiles for this box, 1 for the box without extra lock and 1 for the box with extra lock.

It's not mandatory to print the insert tray for the batteries, you can use the box as is. It's an option to complete the box.

Dimensions for the box:

• Width: 40 mm
• Height: 12 mm for top and bottom, 24 mm in total when closed
• Length: 90 mm

Guide for the box:

• Select the desired print profile for the box (with or without extra lock)
• When you printed the box, please let it cool down completely
• Gently start moving the lid towards the bottom part to start movement
• The hinges are very strong and you can open and close the box hundreds of times without any problem

Guide for the insert tray:

• I used a piece of double sided tape to hold the tray to the box

Guide to install the extra lock:

• The locking mechanism is on the second plate of the printprofile with the extra lock
• Once printed, you have to gently push it in the bottom part of the box
• Close the box and click the locking mechanism to the upper part to extra secure bottom and top part of the box

Print time and used material:

For the box:

• Print time: 1 hour 20 minutes
• PLA filament, approximately 49gr
• Choose your own color (I used red)

For the insert tray:

• Print time: 40 minutes
• PLA filament, approximately 24gr
• Choose your own color (I used black)
