After watching Rebel Moon, I was captivated by the design of Kora's pistol. Despite my efforts, I couldn't locate an existing model online. Being relatively new to 3D modeling, I took on the challenge of recreating it using screenshots from the movie.
For optimal printing results, I recommend using a 0.2mm nozzle, though a 0.4mm nozzle can still yield satisfactory results. The intricate details and minimal layer height differences between colors, set at only 0.25mm, make a finer nozzle beneficial. To enhance efficiency during printing with colored filaments or to simplify detailing, I've divided the pistol into halves and added reference pegs. If possible, utilizing a smooth bed will minimize the seam size, although my own lack of a smooth bed has resulted in a slightly larger seam.
Included in the package are profiles for both painted and unpainted versions. I utilized Bambu PLA, Bambu Matte PLA, and Bambu Metallic filaments in the slicer. Note that finding a gold filament from Bambu Lab proved challenging, so you might need to substitute it with an alternative. As I don't own an AMS, kindly verify the slicer settings and adjust purge amounts to economize on filament usage.
Thank you for exploring this project, and feel free to share any suggestions for further improvements!
