Description

Hello there,

today is the day I finally decide to share this model with y'all. I've been refining it for a long time and the first version actually consisted of two parts which had to be screwed together. Anyhow, this one is all one piece, I guess you could go ahead and cut it into multiple parts, importing STEP files into CAD software is fairly easy.

The dock itself is designed to fit the Deck quite firmly so it doesn't rattle around. The back has a hole for ventilation as the handheld has its' air intake on the back. On the side I made a small US-sized hole for my wired controller cable.

TWO VERSIONS:

  1. No Hub: Doesn't have the holes for the Anker adapter and its' mainly use is so you can import it into CAD and edit the holes according to your needs.
  2. Anker Hub: This one is made for the Anker 12-in-1 hub. I don't recommend buying it as you can get a good enough adapter for much less. I just had it laying around, for those 100€ I could've just bought the official Deck Hub.

The default profile uses support filament for PLA. Keep in mind, I've printed mine without it but then I had to spend 30 minutes getting rid of all the supports and scraping the walls. Just a time saver, that's all.

You can check all of the settings in the 3mf, here is a quick rundown:

  • 0.4mm nozzle
  • 0.2mm layers
  • 3 walls
  • 10% Gyroid
  • Handdrawn supports for every overhang except for the Steam Deck Logo on the bottom!!!

Happy printing!

I'm printing this now. I'm attempting to split it at 24.79mm height in bambu studio with a connector in between. That way i can print support free.
