Description

For the model description please scroll down (this is just an update announcement which has no effects to the base model)

It's done :) You can find the DryBuddy (here).

You can find the (optional) AMS upgrade alias “the MOOSER” here:

→ click me ←

If you already completed printing the whole raiser you just need to reprint two smaller parts (plate 2 - the outside side parts will be replaced by the mod).

If you plan to print the raiser and also want to have the upgrade you can just start printing and skip

  • print plate 2 for the ultimate raiser
  • print plate 3 for the lite versions

Also THX Alex_1 for contributing an alternative for the TPU parts of my model → the anti-glare screen which suites to all the model types (Ultimate / Lite HG / Lite / Mini).

The model can also be used with the DryBuddy (here).

You can also find other addons for my raisers in the upgrade project.

DESCRIPTION STARTS HERE

____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

OK - just another raiser is a little bit played down.. I designed for almost two days how I could create a raiser (like the one which is currently the top download here) which is easily printable (the other is not). and here it is :)

there are five versions - whether which version you choose - you need NO AMS to print it (despite having more than one colour):

  • the ultimate one with the xtouch display and the hygrometer hole → height is 9.7cm (when in place)
  • the lite one with the hygrometer hole → height is 7.3cm (when in place)
  • the lite one → height is 7.3cm (when in place)
  • the mini → height is 2.5cm (when in place). you can use this also as an adapter for the raiser lite if you want to use the DryBuddy.
  • the lite one with the hygrometer hole but no ventilation slots (as requested from user_3132260252 → height is 7.3cm (when in place)

The hygrometer hole has a diameter of 42.5mm. It should handle “the standard” hygrometer out there which is used in other projects.

The Ultimate/Lite HG/Lite version share the ventilation system and an area (all four models) for a LED light-stripe (-12mm, may even more because it's covered) which is angled with 45 degrees to the print plate. I used soldered LEDs before and still have to test whether you can mount a complete stripe (but I designed more space in the corners for just turning them round) without cutting it.

EDIT: Yep - mounting a complete WS2812b stripe without cutting it is possible. Even the edges can be handled smoothly (but at least one LED will not be angled with 45 degrees).

Why 45 degrees?! ..that you do not look directly into the light ;) there is also a cover on the top (print this with tpu) which prevents seeing anything from the stripe / the light. You can also use Alex_1's shield mentioned at the top. The shield almost completely hides the LEDs.

I will add other features from time to time. there are already some out there (just visit my model-site). If you need anything else just ask me for a mod and I will do it.

I will may fork the xtouch sources and add some features (light control / brightness / colours / …) there → so even when you own a x1c you can use the ultimate version with the xtouch display.

Here are some steps regarding the assembly (it's pretty easy). If you want to get an overview which parts belongs to which position → just open BambuStudio and use the “puzzle” icon in combination with the explosion view:

Slider-Assembly:

LED Mount:

(the small board here on the right is not neccessary. I'm just using the regular light-energy-source. If you have questions regarding this just message me. the advantage is that I can controll the light directly with the bambu software & display)

Lid Covering:

You should use tape for fixing the cable

(my nozzle is currently making some troubles. don't use the hardened steel one when you print it. that's why I'm having these artefacts in the print :( have a look at the display-front then you know what I mean :P)

BR & happy printing,

B@sti :)

So the AMS can (if it is finish ) on top of this raiser withoud worry that it breaks?

ah sorry - I meant you do not need to print it with the ams.. of course you can have the ams on top of it. you may can even stand with your full bodyweight on one part of it :P the profile is setup with 8% infill and honeycomb structure. 8% may sounds not so strong - but believe me - this is more than enough.. if you have any feature requests / feedback please do not hesitate to send me a message

Thanks to Basti for this great frame !!! I printed the Raiser lite. The only thing missing is the TPU lip. I am still having problems with the printing.

Hi Alex! you're welcome :) Thank you for sharing - this looks amazing! You just lead me to the idea to use glowing pla for the symbol and the sliders :P You can also print the TPU parts in PLA. I think TPU is better for not scratching the lid but as the area of the glas is painted black it should not matter at all. I'm currently working on an upgrade for drying a spool during printing (already posted a picture in the description). For this purpose the left front TPU part is exchanged. For the prototype (in fact one of the prototypes.. ..currently I'm counting #4 :P) I also used PLA and so far I had no problems with the lid. I wanted to release it today but I'm still not completely satisfied. If you want you can do beta-testing as soon as I'm done because this feature is rather for the Ultimate edition (there might be not enough space because the Lite versions are ~2.5cm lower). Again thx for the vote and your pictures :) BR, B@sti

Hi Basti, I used a 24V COB strip which is incredibly bright. I need a wider screen for this to avoid having to look in from above with sunglasses :-)). I will send you a photo as soon as it is finished, I printed the icon and the two sliders with Bambu PETG. The icon is only a 0.4 mm thick film, which affects its luminosity. The spool drying update is very cool, and I hope it will also be compatible with the Raiser Lite. I would like to try it out. Greetings Alex

Thx for the details - and yes - please keep me up to date with pictures :) Hehe - just avoid getting a sunburn :P This is really bright but quite cool. My ws2812b is currently set to gold and not so shiny even when it's set to white.. Yep - that was also my idea but then I decided to may add another LED behind the logo (thats why there is a lid) because I had troubles fitting that thin part into the cutout. I will come back to you as soon as the update is ready. I'm just printing the next prototype iteration :P BR, B@sti

thank you very much for sharing :) I'm still very sorry about that you entered into the lid problem. Either I was to slow with fixing or you too fast with printing :P ..but a 1 minute work with the deburrer will solve that problem. stay tuned for an upgrade -> there will be a new AMS feature soon :)

Life is for the fast ones :) And the lid problem ...i think it is more than 0.25mm so i gone need a multitool later. (no time for it now)

hehe - you're damn right 😎 0.25 on each side should work. my lid fits without doing something. ..it just took a while. in the model I removed 0,75mm at each part so this will work flawlessly.

Hey, just curious if it'd be possible to create a little addon to attach a Wyze cam v2 inside? Like what you did with your DryBuddy addon? Haven't printed this yet, but it looks like there should be plenty of space to do it. Just not sure if there's an area that such a mount/attachment could be clipped to.

That's a pretty good idea :) Yeah - of course I can do this. Can you send me the sizes? I'm just on the way to work right now. This will be my last day before the holidays so I have enough time for doing this ;) I already have an idea how to attach it without reprinting any of the bigger parts. So just go for it if you plan to print. Hint: you can skip the lid of the LED Logo ;)

@Basti85 - Sure thing! Which piece is that, precisely? "Deckel Logo" or something else? Printing the corner pieces now. :) h - 57.3mm (needs about 76mm total clearance at the most space consuming angle) w & l - 50mm

super zum drucken. musste zwar 2 Teile nochmals drucken da sie sich vom Druckbett gelöst hatten und verzogen waren. Aber das war ein Bedienfehler sag ich mal. sieht super aus.

Raiser Lite with Hygrometer
Literally printed this entire amazing thing just using the app and the print next plate feature. There are some minor things I noticed: - I opted for Matte Black for the riser and the profile prints the corners upright, but the sides laying flat. That results in a very different finish, especially with textured plates. - For me the riser had some play sitting on the printer. - Not sure how to install the LEDs. Some more instructions and part suggestions would have been great.

first of all - thx for your vote :) this looks gorgeous!!! when I was printing my raiser (I still use the prototype) I printed the corners in the same way as the front and rear panels. I recognized that printing them this way leads to inaccurate tolerances regarding the slots for the front/rear/side panels. Also the rounded back edges where not sooo nice. then I changed the profile as I did not want you guys to have the same problems like me. besides - the front, back and side parts do also print faster this way. and yes - my raiser has that finish you are talking about :) ..but I had to work on the parts (at that time a lot of people complained about reworking parts in Jorge's project). hmmm - print a few times with the raiser on top. I think the warm air will do it's job and in a short while you won't have much play anymore. there are several ways to install LEDs. which one do you prefer? AC from outside? then you can use the hole on the back. or do you want to use the printers on / off LED feature?

I'm not done yet as I'm having issues with my bed leveling, I believe. still need to do the TPU covers and install the LEDs, but did promise I'd get a picture up of the wyze camera addon. here it is and then the camera view. I still need to figure something out with the power cord, but there's plenty of room to get there perfect angle in there! thanks again for the great riser and addon!

well done! thank you very much for your vote and the pictures :) this looks pretty good. it's also nice to see that the adapter is doing its work :) maybe you find a kind of edged cable to solve the problem with the lid. otherwise you can also use the raiser mini as an adapter. instead of the TPU covers you can also print the anti-glare screen from Alex_1 which hides the LEDs in an even better way (see the description above). EDIT: by the way - you can find the wyze camera adapter here -> https://makerworld.com/de/models/88485#profileId-107765
