Description

📝 Description

This is a simple Desiccant container that fits into filament spools for storage or printing. The container is unique in that it uses a spiral and overhangs to print the openings for the desiccant. This reduces the retraction count considerably over other designs meaning you can print the entire container in under 45 minutes on a Bambu X1C or similar.

Two different lids are included, one for spool use and one for general use.

🖨️ Printing Tips

4 walls, no infill, thick layer height. If you have a printer with high powered cooling, reduce your cooling slightly so the overhangs in the print droop. This creates the triangle window you see in the print.

Adjust horizontal expansion or line widths to make the lids tighter or looser depending on your 3D printer and filament calibration.

🔗 Additional Information

Works great with any filament type. I used PETG and PLA in the photos you see.

When it comes to hardware, I rely heavily on Bambu Lab 3D printers. My A1 Mini https://rb.gy/uofj5 is a staple in my office, while my fleet of X1C Carbons https://rb.gy/9r2az ensures rapid and high-quality production. #ComissionsEarned which help support my free model development.
