Description

Elevate the aesthetics of your Bambu printer setups with concrete paver bases with this custom-designed, four-part enclosure. Like many Bambu printer enthusiasts, I added a concrete paver and rubber paver beneath my printer to mitigate vibrations. However, the functional paver setup wasn't visually appealing. To solve this, I designed this enclosure that seamlessly covers the entire base of the printer, enhancing its look without sacrificing functionality.

This enclosure is specifically designed to accommodate a rubber and a concrete paver from Lowe's. Minor adjustments might be necessary if you're using a different brand or size of paver.

[Jan 7th, 2024] UPDATE : Please use the print profile with the four sets of clips that are elongated based on user feedback. Have also included a new profile for a shortened front plate with Bambu logo for Concrete only paver setups.

What's Included:

  • Stone + Rubber Paver Enclosure: For those using both the rubber and stone pavers
  • Stone Paver Only Enclosure: For those using just the stone paver.
  • Blank Face Plate: Plate to cover up the seams between he enclosure.
  • Face Plate with Bambu Logo: Plate with multi-color printable option.
  • Holding Clips: Ensures that the four parts of the enclosure stay firmly in place.

Material & Printing:

Each part of this enclosure is 3D printed in PLA, requiring approximately 100 grams of material per piece. The design is optimized for durability and ease of assembly.

Installation Note:

This enclosure is a straightforward, Simply assemble the four parts around your printer's base and secure them with the provided holding clips. The face plates can be switched out depending on your preference.

Customization and Adjustments:

Please note that this design is tailored for specific paver sizes available at Lowe's. If you're using a different paver, slight modifications to the enclosure might be necessary for a perfect fit. Feel free to tweak the design to suit your setup.

I added a 4mm hole in the back left panel for the bento box wires through the top lip. Not quite sold on the matte blue color, but it works for now. Now I need to figure out a poop bucket solution that fits. ;) Great design!

you have any trouble getting the clips in? it’s like the clips aren’t long enough to be able to go into my 2 sides to connect them

I would skip the clips if the enclosures doesn’t fit perfectly with one another. you can modify the length of the clips to make it work though.

Great print! I agree the clips are a tad too short, but I just shaved off a tiny bit.

Have a new profile with longer clips. Give it a try if you need the clips to work

The perfect solution for such a niche problem many of us will have. Awesome model, will print and update with some pics. Thank you. The clips gave me some grief, one would fit but I could not get the other side to fasten. Sits fine, I just cheated with a bit of doublesided tape. Way improved looks, thank you!

Great profile, but needed a little tinkering. I got the same concrete and rubber pavers, but when putting it together, it fit, however when putting the printer on top, it would essentially float on top of the covers instead of sitting on the paver. So I took 3mm off the plates and side covers, and now it sits flush with just a hair of wiggle room. It also made just enough room for my magnetic filament purge bucket to sit flush with the chute as well!

Do you mind sharing what kind of rubber did you use and where did you get it?

Took some measurements and adjusted it accordingly. Printed great and no issues. Looks great as well and I'm happy looking at this rather than looking at that stone paver. Thanks for an awesome make.

I had to adjust the height because my concrete slab was only 4cm high instead of 5. But the result is great, I like it!

FYI, I just uploaded a top lid holder designed to be used with this enclosure. https://makerworld.com/en/models/388713#profileId-289575. Don't mind the dust. :)
