3D printable basketball hoop pen holder. This uniquely shaped basketball hoop pen/pencil holder was designed as a gift for someone who enjoys basketball.
I designed this with geometry that does not need any support material when printing with the STL files in the download tab. The design comes in 2 parts that slide together. I didn't feel the need to use adhesive when assembling the 2 prints, but it can always be used to prevent the prints from pulling apart.

Note: Pictures of physical prints were taken after small modifications were made to improve print quality. Net spirals were increased by 1mm, basketball post size was increased to add additional support, and net/backboard connecting mechanisms were improved to prevent printing defects and the need for supports. Improvements were printed in sections and tested to prevent the need of printing the entire model.
