Description

Build your own private candy dispenser with a custom trim!

Update April 12th:
Uploaded additional .stl (mod by tonitom )with a bigger screw and screw-casing.

→ The dispenser should be able to convey bigger candies like M&M's with this mod.

Please read the recommendations below for maximum, hustle free success ;-)

Printing Recommendations / checklist:

  • In general you want to print everything rigid for this project and most of the parts can be used to rate your printers capabilities too.
  • For the most part you should be fine with 0.2 mm layer height, 30 % infill, 3 perimeters.
  • All parts can be printed without support, except of the screw.
  • The screw needs support only on build plate, the bottom side of it will not look smooth.
  • Align the seam on the back of the base for a clean surface.
  • Best to be printed from PLA since glueing a certain part might be beneficial for you (see Tipp#2)
  • The trim can be customized! Use this link to generate your own individual text:
    Custom-Trim

Tipp 1: The screw design is only suitable for M&M's without nuts (the smaller chocolate-pastilles ones). Smarties should work too, even though this is not tested thoroughly.
The thread on the base will fit on any 750g, 825g or 1000g Nutella glass.
(will fit to some honey-jars too, have a look ate the makes)

Tipp 2: The handle should be the last part to install.
Secure it with a drop of super glue to the screw to enable bi-directional movement.
This will make things way more easy, believe me ;-)

Tipp 3: The candies will have contact with your filament of choice. Eventhough no remarkable amount of moisture is involved, thus leech-out is neglitable, you might want to consider this everytime you print something in contact with food.

Remark: I noticed this awesome design by sui77 wasn't available around here.
That needed to be changed since it is also one of my all-time favorite models and I printed a couple of them as a gift for family and friends, parties, candy-bar's for weddings and so on.
So I did my best to adequately represent it here in form of a reupload.

Last but not least I generated this overview for easy assembly:

Happy Printing!

would you be willing to modify it for regular mason jars?

hi, this is not my design, I just shared it. If you follow the original, you will find remixes for other jars :)

Replying to @Vinrisa :
which parts did you modify specifically? would I be able to print your parts to get the benifits of your remix while using a base that allows for a mason jar?

I shared the design, I did not modify it ;) this is no longer possible on MW. The original has some remixes: https://www.printables.com/de/model/274646-nutella-jar-candy-dispenser/remixes maybe there is one fitting you jar?
