After purchasing an iDPRT 4x6" thermal label printer on Amazon, I quickly became annoyed by how messy the stack of labels got sitting off behind the machine as there was no included organization with the printer. They sell a separate bin to contain your labels but it is greatly oversized and the labels are still a mess, and even worse, it doesn't integrate with the printer so if you slightly bump either then the labels are out of parallel and will start to print skewed. So I decided I would just make my own!

This 4x6" shipping label holder for the iDPRT series of thermal label printers allows for just enough room to contain the 4x6 labels with some wiggle so they don't snag on the sides, but tight enough fit that they won't come out of parallel. To further help with the alignment of the labels, the front base of the label holder extends under the back of the printer and has two vertical pieces which fit into reliefs that exist on the underside of the print. This allows the holder to connect integrally to the printer so that if you nudge one, they both move together and remain in parallel.

To help reduce print time and filament use, I put the horizontal cutout pattern all around the edge. This also helps to easily see how many labels you have left in the label holder from multiple angles so that you know when it is time to order more.

I have two of these printers now, purchased years apart from each other, and the design has stayed the same so I believe this tray will work well with yours regardless of when you purchased it.
