Description

Here's a good looking and reduced filament option for a steel sheet / bed holder for the Bambu Lab printers (X1C, X1, P1P). It has room for up to 4 sheets or 3 sheets and a slot for bed stickers. It also has a spot for the BL scraper and AMS disconnect tools.

I liked the current versions out there but they had spots for nozzles and used more filament than I liked. This model cuts the filament usage almost in half to approximately 157g from 296g.

I printed this without supports and cranked up the auxiliary fan to full blast after the base layers were done. This helped prevent sagging on the bridging of the hexagon tops. Still got some sagging, but not enough to warrant supports IMHO.

Also you'll see some major sagging to the right of the scraper holder. I didn't support that part correctly in the first model, but it's updated in the uploaded version.

Print Settings:

  • Any layer height should work, I used 0.28mm
  • 15% infill
  • Auxiliary fan 70% or more
  • No supports needed if cooled quickly
  • PLA

This is a remix of Glen Waelbers model which is a remix of the TmnSn sheet holder. AMS disconnect tools by Bryan Vines.

No issues with print. I appreciate it being on the right side of the printer so I could keep my chute on the left end!
