Check out the other two games I've made in this series
A Travel Chess Game! The follow up to my Tic Tac Toe game. Tic Tac toe is a pretty fun little game, but I think most of us advance past it once we're out of our kid years. For those wanting a little more, I present Chess! Travel Edition!
It's setup so you can take the board on the go, even mid game if that's the situation you need to handle. I added a few little notches to help keep the lid secure, but just to be safe and sound, I've included a strap much like that made by Wcad00 on the TicTacToe game. The strap comes in two flavors, depending on how you feel. There's a 2 color version, and a single color version for those that want something a little simpler, faster to print.

Great little travel set! Im so happy you added a checkers set as well. My only minor concern was that the King and Queen were tricky to distinguish, but I just gave them crowns :)

This is just an alternative lid for Josh-3D's fantastic chess game. It does not include the entire game as the other components have remained original. I hope it can help make the whole thing even more beautiful.

I might do a board like that in the future. I certainly thought about it! Mainly wanted to keep it as simple and complete as I could off the plate. I have a design floating around in my head though for a stylized magnet chess board w/pieces. So, might have to follow through on that!
You have any favorite magnet sizes? Silly question, but I've been trying to figure out some common sizes so if I incorporate them more in my projects, people can source them easier.

The size of a 5 * 2mm magnet would be a good choice.

I agree that 5x2 would work well. I also wonder if you couldn't do a Pause in the print to place magnets in and then resume, printing over top of them. Might be something to play around with.

THIS TRAVEL SET IS SO GENIUS. I DID NOT REALIZE THAT YOU HAD CREATED A MAGNETIC VERSION, AND CREATED ONE MYSELF LOL. EITHER WAY. IM SURE YOURS WORKS SIMILARLY TO MINE, CONSIDERING YOU USED THE SAME MAGNET SIZE AS I DID. ANYWAYS, THANKS FOR YOUR CONTRIBUTION. I LEARNED A LOT IN CREATING A MAGNETIC VERSION MYSELF SO I STILL CONSIDER THIS A WIN :D
