Description

It's like a desktop zen rock garden, but with water!

Printing

  • All parts can be printed without supports.
  • Use a brim if you have bed adhesion or curling issues.
  • Print the base with extra perimeters and a high temp to prevent leaking. If there are still leaks, seal the base with Mod Podge or similar plastic-safe varnish.

Hardware

Submersible USB pump with adjustable flow
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CG2YE6K

M3 Bolts or Glue
Bolts can be as short as 4mm or as long as 16mm

Assembly

  • Attach fountain parts to their plates using glue and/or M3 bolts.
  • Place pump(s) in the base wherever you want a fountain to start.
  • Thread the pump cord through the base until you reach the side of the base where you want it to come out.
  • Snap in fountain parts.
  • Fill fountain with water.
  • Test. Adjust the pump flow accordingly.
  • Add extra decoration (stones, plants, 3D prints) as desired.

Bases

  • Default - 7 hexagons
  • Small - 4 hexagons (not compatible with every fountain)

Fountains

  • Tower - A three level tower fountain
  • Waterfall - A wide spout fountain
  • Plateau - A series of floating basins which pour water out on one side.
  • Rhythmic - A tilting hollow bar that gives a percussive hit every 1-4 seconds. This is based on a Japanese Shishi-odoshi.

Plates

  • Solid
  • Solid Center
  • Perforated
  • Cord

More Parts and Remixes!

There are tons of extra custom parts and remixes. Check out the Remixes tab and this spreadsheet created and maintained by Ronin0000.

Warning: Not for Pets!

Please note that this fountain is not a safe water bowl for pets. 3D printed objects can easily grow bacteria between layers. This is true even when using “food safe” plastics.
