Description

Update - 06/11/20.
Green to brown to green STL file (Trees) were missing. This has now been uploaded and is ready for download. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Little Cities is a 3D Printable toy series where miniature buildings and vehicles are stored within a purpose designed case until ready for play. Once play begins simply unfold the case and attach the miniature buildings to the outside of the case to create a mini play set. Each case will be themed with mini vehicles to print as well. The cases can also interlock so you can expand your little cities playset as I develop and release new Little City themed cases.

This one is the Fun Fair!!!
Go take a look at the attractions and find yourself mesmerized by the big wheel as it spins. Finding yourself a little parched, then go visit the Ice Cream van. The Fun Fair is colorful and joyful and a great addition to the Little City collection.

Please check out and follow my profile page to see what Little Cities have already been released.

Note - This is not a MMU print. Simply print the parts in the appropriate colours and glue them together.
Also I apologize, there are allot of parts required for this one. Sorry. :-(

As this is part of a series I will design other themed cities, the bonus being is the cases will interlock, thus creating a bigger play-set. The roads will run in sync too. At this point I have about 26 little cities planned.

Please note some of the parts may cause a choking hazard, so these 3D printed toys are not recommend for children under the age of 6.

Print instructions

This is not a MMU print. Simply print the parts and assemble them together.

Please refer to the images for assembly instructions.

The case I printed at 0.2mm layer height and 0.15mm for all other parts.
Refer to the file names to see if colour changes (CC) are required and for what layer heights to apply the colour changes.

The vehicle wheels print in one. Be patient and gentle to loosen them so they can turn. Also use a little glue to attach the transit van together while ensuring the wheels still turn.

Any questions or queries just send me a message and I will get back to you when I can.

both printed very well, the supports on the trees themselves were a little bit of a pain, but they weren't as fragile as I thought they would be, so was able to remove them nicely!

I know it’s been a year but…how did you print your trees the way you did my trees aren’t coming out right

yea the supports on the tree were a PAIN to remove. I use flush cutters and needle nose pliers for a solid 5-10 minutes working them off 😂

this printed nice and clean for the most part. the overhangs for the ferris wheel bracket had some drooping, but nothing a little post processing couldn't fix (pictures are after cleaning it up)

I was a little confused at first how to assemble this one, but it ended up fitting perfectly together! just make sure the round part of the undercarriage is facing up, so it nestles perfectly into the bottom of the van.

This file is repeatedly having some sort of an issue at 46%.

I will take a look at it the file tomorrow. Is it the actual case you are having issues with?

I’m not sure. the 2 really weird issues I’ve encountered have been on plate 5 and 6. They are printing prime blocks even though they are one color.

Okay, following your feedback I have a theory as to what has happened. But I will test it first. The entire print requires 11 different filament colours. So I think the issues start when it gets to filament colour five. If this is the issue, I'll break down the 3MF into fewer plates to ensure only four colours are sliced at a time. But it will mean multiple profiles will need to be sent to a printer. Also, thanks for your feedback and highlighting the issue, its been a great help. I'll post an update soon.

Okay, I think you are referring to the trees. These are multi colour prints, brown and green. And when printed they're surrounded by supports, which make them look like a block. The supports will need to be carefully removed. Hope this helps and best of luck.

This part printed great. is it necessary for the priming tower to spend so much of the first layer color?

Do you mean the flushing volumes? I tend to increase these a bit as I cannot know filament brands or even if they're going to use the suggested colours. Due to this its better to overcompensate a bit.
