Description

Rollease Acmeda / Automate have a nice single-bracket solution for joining side-by-side motorised blinds for a doorway/sliding door (ie two individually controllable blinds across an opening) that take up approx 19mm in width between blinds.

When replacing Automate motors with Eve Motionblinds (Coullise), there is not enough space to use this and Eve/Coulisse don't have a joiner bracket so you are supposed to use two brackets back to back.

I have 3D modelled two pins and a spacer that work with one Eve/Coulisse bracket to create a middle joining bracket – around 10mm width between blinds which makes everything fit with current blinds sized for Automate.

Additional Items Required

  • One Coulisse bracket (supplied with Eve Motionblinds)
  • M5 x 75mm Hex Head Bolt & Nuts
  • M5 Lock Nut (Optional – included nut may work)

I used "Pinnacle" branded Stainless Steel bolts and nuts from Bunnings here in Australia.

Assembly

Assemble as per the images attached (although updated model no longer requires the washers shown) - note the excess bolt length when put together will need to be removed for the blinds to sit flush - a 70mm M5 bolt might be better but I couldn't find one.

Here's hoping Coulisse release their own center bracket for joining two blinds, but in the mean time I hope this helps others.
