Description

My 3rd Vice and a vice which fulfills a specific brief, the brief is cutting small brass or alloy tubes etc and also square bar or tube etc, the amount of times I've needed this type of vice for such an occasion is numerous, many times I am cutting with a Dremel and cutting disc and I'm trying to hold it by hand and cutting, the cut is never straight etc so this vice should eliminate this problem.

I've found with my previous 2 vices that it's best to run a die down the screw thread and tap the thread in the base, I picked the Taps and dies up on Amazon for not much layout and they have proved very effective, the threads cab be lubricated with something like 3 in 1 oil or similar.

The adapter is fitted after screwing the screw into the base, its secured with a flat head 5mm Allen bolt and the adapter is secured to the sliding carriage with a 5mm Allen head bolt, a 5mm tap can be used for both applications as I've snapped the collar on the previous 2 vices but the bolts still screwed in ok on those occasions.

The vice was modeled with Fusion 360 and printed with the Bambu Lab X1 Carbon.

Have fun printing and using the vice if you download it and thanks for looking.

Awesome I used a Tap and Die to run down and through the threads, it did free off nicely after a while, glad it worked out for you and hope you get some use out of it.

Hi, have you tried printing the threaded rod at 100% infill and run a 12mm x 1.75 die down the thread and tap the hole with 12mm x 1.75 tap, I’ve found out how to off set the threads in the design software now which makes things a lot better, hope this helps

Sehr schön entworfen und gedruckt aber unten fehlt eine Führung das beim Anpressen bzw. festziehen der beweglich Bachen nicht nach oben zieht.
