Description

Coming from a Hydro Flask with the extra Sleeve/Boot i created my own quick and dirty sleeve for the 21oz bottle.

It offers a little extra protection, nice contrast and dampen the sound of placing it on a hard surface.

I also added a little venting hole for easier time putting and taking it off and to let moisture out.

It got a tight but not too tight fit, it just works.

Printed on a BambuLab P1P using these overall settings:

  • Filament: Overture 95A TPU in Black
  • Nozzle: 0.4mm
  • Layer Height: 0.20mm
  • Wall Loops: 2
  • Top Shell Layers: 4
  • Bottom Shell Layers: 3
  • Infill: 20 %
  • Infill Pattern: Concentric/Gyroid

Based on my test prints the gyroid tends to be a bit more firm compared to the concentric infill that still firm while standing, but has a little more give putting the bottle down.

So: Gyroid firmer, concentric squishier.

You are going to find two .3mf Project Files with either a concentric or gyroid infill pre-selected and some other fine-tuned settings.

The overall .3mf Project files are based of @RolandDeschain Bambu Lab Overture Process Profiles which, for me, created pretty good results.

Follow this for the Filament Process Profiles: https://www.printables.com/model/463757-overture-tpu-filament-and-process-profiles-bambu-l

Like i said, it is nothing too fancy and just my first steps creating my own models.

I hope you like it and stay hydrated!

question about using tpu for this. Normal silicon boots are hard to put into backpack pockets because the silicone wants to grab onto the fafbric as you slide it into the pocket. Is this a problem with tpu, or does tpu slide against fabric pretty easily?

in my case it slides pretty easily, there ist really much friction. Depending on the plate you can achieve some friction, for example with textured plate, but nowhere near like silicone!
