The Tea Light Display by JamesThePrinter is fantastic and I love it, however the small door latch tabs on the case portion are very fragile and prone to breakage. To fix mine, I retrofitted the latch with magnets. First, I modified the door by removing the latch portion and replacing it with a magnet cavity. Then I created an insert that fits inside the latch cavity of the case; this insert has a cavity to accept the case magnet.
The retrofit kit is assembled on one plate within a .3MF file and contains the four items needed; the door, the door handle, the case magnet insert, and the snap ring (scaled up from original in X and Y by 1%.
I glued the case insert into the case and then press fit the magnets to the case and the door. Two 4x2mm magnets are required (4mm diameter by 2mm thick). I use this glue for the insert and also to glue the knob to the door - it works very well… “Weld-On SciGrip 16 Fast Set”.
