Introducing, the Schmidt Fidget. A mesmerizing gadget designed to engage your senses and offer hours of soothing, tactile exploration. Drawing inspiration from the workings of real-world train couplers this fidget toy provides a stimulating and one-of-a-kind experience.

Features

  • 100% printed parts! No glue, screws, or other materials are needed.
  • Two versions are available. Thicc and Thin. The Thin Version is nice for really long chains (10+ modules) while the Thicc Version is better for shorter chains (7 or fewer modules).

Plates Available

I have included 5 different plates. The Thicc Version has a plate for 3 modules and 7 modules. The Thin Version has a 3-module, 7-module, and 10-module plate available. The STLs are also included, one for each version, so you can print as many or as few as you would like.

 

Assembly

If you have any loose-fitting pins simply clamp down on the very tip of one with pliers to flatten the thin part of the pin out a hair and then fit it again. It should click into place.

Love this fidget but the assembly process is a tough and leads to sheared pins pretty easily. Would you mind uploading/sharing the original CAD models? Want to try and make the pins from press fit to threaded.
