Description

A ball trapped inside a cube. 20mm, 40mm, and 60mm variants.

Optimized for easy 3D printing, with chamfers on the bottom edges of the ball and cube to facilitate a good first layer.

Designed parametrically in Fusion 360, so let me know if there are other sizes you'd like and I can easily provide them!

I agree, but unfortunately because bed adhesion/warping is something alot of people in the community struggle with; a failed print, or a small amount of post processing is what is weighed. Some tips that may help: I would recommend a quality deburring tool, as for a print that size would only take a few seconds. I have a Husky (home depot's house brand) that is only on its second blade in 3 years. Also any white edges can be taken care of with a quick pass with the blue part of a flame.

Ok will do! That does make sense about adhesion, Do you have a specific deburring tool that you recommend?

Husky Brand from Home Depot. It has served me well. I have had Amazon and AliExpress ones that last only a few prints before getting dull. try to avoid unless the reviews give good feels

Good prints on the 20mm and 40mm. Haven't tried the 60mm yet.

Lovely! I didn’t test the 60mm yet myself either so curious if you give it a go. Should be just the same though :) thanks for sharing a pic!

Here’s a 60 and a 40. The upper circle bridging seems to be bearing its limit at 60mm

Cool, thank you! "Bearing its limit" meaning it held up just fine, or meaning that seems like the furthest you'd push it (and an 80mm or 100mm would likely not come out well)?

Hey, merry Christmas, did you have an issue with the profile?

Hi! not printing it, but it would be nicer if the ball was round and didnt have the flat part.

The flat on the ball was the only thing I didn't like about the model. Do you think it's possible to print the ball on a suppor to make it completely round?
