Description

Fully movable dragon with a movable jaw

ATTENTION:

There are a few version

  • No eyes -> dragon with movable jaw and no eyes; here you can insert glass eye or you can print separate eyes (raw stl)
  • Merged eyes -> dragon with movable jaw with merged eyes; you don't need to insert eyes
  • Merged jaw -> dragon without movable jaw; with merged eyes

SCALE:
100% scale is for glass eye 6mm; you can resize the dragon if you need

ASSEMBLING the head
Everything is printed in place except the movable jaw and eyes depending on the configuration
If you have the No Eyes version, I recommend gluing the eyes first (with glue or modeling clay) and then painting/attaching the jaw

Sorry,English is not my first language. so, I try to explain clearly. I was download the "no_eyes" model. Try 3 times to print it, but it always unable to stick on heat bed, finally I found the first layer had some problem. I cut 2mm bottom of the model.I think it's been fixed. AND The moded is really coooooool. Thank you. I will upload 3mf on website. Hope you enjoy it.

I had the same problem and gave up after the second try. Thank you for your comment. I'll try it again when I get the chance.

I printed your version and it came out good. I used Amolen Tri-colored silk PLA for the body and jaw.

One of the most detailed articulated dragon on Makerworld, very cool model and looks great in silk PLA. I'd consider scaling it up a tad when printing so the joints are a little thicker. I added a profile that where only the jaw and head have supports, and custom-made brims for the eyes and jaw so you don't have to be cutting them off the whole dragon. Check out my Dragon Fire! remix also.

tried to load your profile in orcaslicer but it says variable layer height is not supported with organic supports.

Looks good:), head wobbles a bit when standing, the supports took quite some time to get rid of.

Hi! Thank you for the print and photo. I will look at the head and make a flat version so as not to wobble

Great model, looks amazing. The print profile itself could improve a bit I think. They initial layer is quite empty by default (could slice off a bit I guess) and the last couple of links of the tail broke off directly from the building plate due to being too brittle (this is partly due to using Silk filament as well). The Jaw is too weak too by design in the orientation from the print profile and had to be done differently to not break. Overall a great print.

print turned out amazing, definitely the most detailed dragon I have printed, support was a pain to get off and I lost a couple toe nails but other than that it’s an amazing dragon
