Description

Want a fidget toy from outer space? It will land on you desk very soon! Just print, spin and play - and enjoy. And please share your makes, in 1 or more colors :-)

Overview

The model is print-in-place. But within the slicer you can color it easily (fx. in Bambu Studio). You can also download my pre-painted print profiles and simply hit print!

Does it spin forever (or even close)? No! But does it look cute? Yes! :-)

Assembly

None. Just print and play!

Print instructions

Should be pretty straight forward with default settings. But a couple of notes:

Brim: No (to avoid the parts fusing together)
Supports: No - the model is designet to print easily without :-)
Layer height: To get a smooth curve, you can use adaptive/variable layer height.

Printed on A1 Mini with 0.2 nozzle and 0.1 layer height using Bambu Copper Metal PLA.

As someone else mentioned, it doesn't spin like a fidget spinner(maybe not even a full 360 spin with the filament I used) but, I guess it doesn't really claim to be a fidget spinner either, just a fidget toy with a spin motion, so that's understandable. It printed really nice even though my nozzle loves to leave a little bit of oozed plastic on the first layer or two, and looks cute as both a general toy and as a thing that can be fidgeted with a bit. Used MIKA3D silk filament and a 0.4mm nozzle. Hope to try and do an AMS color version with some UFO Kirby style colors one weekend, maybe even paint his eyes on it.
