Description

This Christmas Nativity scene consists of 3 flat panels and a base which holds each panel slightly curved. Use an LED candle or fairy lights to light the scene for a dramatic effect. Each panel is setup to print face down on the bed to produce a nice texture.

I printed this nativity set using white PETG and it came out very nice. I probably would have used PLA, but was out of white. Great nativity scene, very well designed!

Did some testing and found that you should NOT use regular votive candles, even with the custom extended base made for votives. This WILL warp your back layer. Tried LED tealights and they were not bright enough for the best effect. Instead, I found a small set of plug in lights (20-count lights) for a $1.25. I rearranged them and zip tied the bulbs in one direction and set it behind the scene...PERFECT. Also, not sure if others have noticed, but I've run four of the votive bases and ALL of them have poor top layers on one side...The flaws are in the exact spot on each one, so I suspect the model itself or the profile is a bit janky. Can't see the issues when the plates are installed so no biggie. Everyone that has seen this has thought it was absolutely beautiful. Thanks for the model...these are great holiday gifts.
