Description

This is my model of the Atlantis as seen in Stargate Atlanis tv series.

Model is over 60cm in diameter and approaches 3 kilos.
It has already built in preparation for the LED lights so if you want to make the towers and stardrive lit, you do not need to tinker with the data at all. It is once again a kit so everything fits together like a lego and no glue is needed.

For the easier assembly, please watch the following playlist where the assemble process is described in detail.

The model comes with a stand though in the end I decided to not use it and display it as it is.

Hope you like it.

This is seriously amazing. I used 3.5Kg of filament. The whole platform is easy to assemble, just click. The buildings had to be glued, so you need to think in advance if you are going to put lights. I love it. I'm a big fan of Atlantis and this made me really happy. I printed 24 plates. If you divide the buildings, you save a few plates, but I decided this way. I printed the small buildings on a separate plate. Thanks Martin ( vážně skvělý model :) )

Fantastic model and thanks for all your hard work putting this together! This has been a long side-project over the past few weeks putting it together, painting and lighting it. One question though; i know you said you didnt use the stand but did you ever make a straight vertical version of the stand3.stl so it could be displayed flat but higher off a table surface? Been trying to figure best way to display it that also lets engine lights shine down as well.

this is an amazing model that is so cool and I have been so excited printing it all week. I am using the Bambu Lab AMS to do it in multiple colors and have been using Assult-X’s remix for that as they did the color painting for us which is awesome. I’m not sure why they chose to upload it as a remix rather then just a print profile on yours though. And the multi-color printing greatly slows the process down but I think it’s worth it as my physical painting skills are terrible. I’m at the point where all the base parts are done and I just have the buildings left but I’m unfortunately not going to be able to finish it just from the Handy App using their profile as it currently is today. I’m going to have to rework the slicing and painting for some of the buildings models as some of the meshes look like they got skewed by what looks like a “simplify model” function, not sure if that’s actually what happened but just a way to describe it. I do appreciate how they separated out parts to one base part per plate to fit and Incase there is a failure you don’t lose as much material. and they separated the buildings into 4 plates, I guess to keep different sections of buildings segregated, but it does add a lot more printing time and also purged waste filament from the AMS like that since it purges the same amount whether it’s one part or a plate full of parts and I think I can get all the buildings on just one plate, more risky yes but also faster and less wasteful so I prefer that trade off. Anyway, enough rambling about the profiles, I can’t wait to finish this model and I thank you for it!
