Description

This very simple bottle drying rack is expandable, collapsable, disposable, and other “able”s! Like most of my designs, I have a need for saving filament. I'm unfortunately not drowning in plastic so I try to make my models as lightweight as possible. Each segment is only two parts and ~5g of PLA, perfect for those filament spool ends you don't know what to do with. Able to store in a cupboard or drawer when taken apart.

Should be expanded in groups of four (or two? Hard for me to explain, check out the photos for better clarification), like a square. Expanding from just one direction in a “line” will make them have too much play when standing next to each other from my testing and feedback from faluethi108

.

Worked, but the purge line was in/under the part. Also a bit less play would be nice

Thanks for printing and the feedback! The purge line has never been an issue with any of my prints and easily just breaks off. I often print on top of it to maximize the build plate. It’s also fine according to the Bambu lab documentation. Was it an issue removing the purge line? I used “auto arrange” for that plate in particular. As for the play, it’s meant to expand in groups of four, like a square, as I’ve shown in the example photos. There is minimal play in the parts when assembled as such. The gaps are designed to accept 4 legs total, so just two as you have them will have half the gap open. I’ve also noticed that the play is not a huge issue when using just one by itself and they stand fine more-or-less (unless it’s a tall bottle with a narrow neck). Let me know if that’s not the case 🙌

Strength Issue

I’m not sure how there’s a strength issue when it’s made of 100% material? Can you provide some details to your issue?

If I put both parts together, I thought it could fit a bit tighter. That's what I meant with stability.
