lithophane picture cube that you can print 5 pictures to put on display
pre orientated
no support needed
assembly requirements
cord with switch
bulb socket
Light bulb
2x m3x12mm screws with nuts and washers to attach base to frame or optionally could glue together.
print 4 pins one for each corner and glue into one side only so pins do not get lost if/when bulb needs replaced.
Bulb socket has a ridge on the side underneath the threads that will have to be removed [pliers work great to break off] to allow to fit properly then glue the lock ring to the frame and optionally the threads to the lock ring to keep the light at the proper height.
I hot glue the cord onto the socket underneath but not necessary and also add a rubber pad to keep it in place for when frame is rotated.
rubber pad
with this rubber pad you can get 8 cubes out of it cut it into 6x6 squares place on bottom and trim access off.
for pictures use this link
for settings use no border and do not crop.
size doesn't matter at this point but will be adjusted in slicer due to program not allowing to get correct size.
maximum thickness of 4.5 mm
minimum thickness is us to you but i wouldn't go lower than .8mm the light comes through to easy and drowns out the picture.
save file and load into slicer.
set quality to .16 or .08 if you can.
I prefer to lay pictures flat I've had the most success that way.
scale pictures to X to 129.3mm Y to 127.3mm and Z should be no more than 4.5mm
