Description

The provided printing profile is just a “sample” if the settings I recommend, please load the exact caps you want to print manually

This system of modular lens caps consists of two components - an inlay that connects to the lens and a cap with a punch-out of your focal length (and a few other numbers).
Because they all are more or less the same, the caps can be quite big for certain lens mounts (e.g. Exakta or Leica M); that's more of the exception though, the proportions mostly look absolutely fine.

I don't try to sell these, so excuse poor photos. It's up to you if you want them or not, ha :)

In total there are

  • 23 lens mount inlays
  • three filter thread inlays
  • 82 caps for prime lenses
  • 140 caps for zoom lenses
  • five caps for focal reducers
  • three caps for tele converters
  • a blank cap in case you want it clean

so in total, 256 different pieces and thousands of combinations!
Pretty neat for a free download, huh

Because there are so many pieces, I put them all in ZIP archives.

While I didn't make inlays for all camera mounts (e.g. Olympus Pen F and Icarex BM, as well as any middle format ones because of size), I did make quite a few, commoners as well as exotics.
For focal lengths, I'm quite confident that I did more or less every commonly available prime lens and zoom range (as of early 2021).

You can see a full list of all available parts here (there's multiple tables to look at)

The idea is to print both caps in different colours (to have some contrast for the focal length), but you can also put something (like a piece of paper) between the caps or paint the top of the inlay. The caps get simply pushed together and should hold well, but you can dab two drops of superglue on the outer rims to really fuse the halves together for good.

I am aware that having a BambuLab printer lets you do the multi-colour print much finer, but there's no way I could provide models for all combinations of focal lengths and camera mounts, haha :)

note.

unless you are willing to send me a lens on your own expense for me to taking measurements from, I am not going to add additional lens mounts on commission.
