Description

I bought a set of solar-powered lights for my garage, and I quickly realized (out of my own ignorance) that I don't have a suitable place to attach the panel to as my house roof perimeters are surrounded by gutters.

So I designed this extender arms to extend the mounting point of the solar panels so they get sufficient sunlight to charge up the batteries in my solar lights.

The use of these extenders are not only for solar lights though. You can use it to extend anything you wish.

There are two variants included - 200mm (about 7.8 inches) and 150mm (about 6 inches).

For best outdoor resistance, printing in ASA is recommended due to it's UV resistance properties.

The screw holes on the base and at the end are 6mm in diameter.

Measurements of the 200mm is shown in pictures. For the 150mm variant, just subtract 50mm from the center portion of the arm (the base and end thickness remains the same).

p/s: The photo shown with the solar panel attached is one of my earlier iteration of the design, which have been improved since.
