Description

Introducing my innovative 3D printed TPU lattice structure, a proof of concept model that exemplifies the blend of flexibility and strength. This lattice structure, manufactured meticulously using TPU, showcases remarkable capabilities in force dampening and resilience.

Key Features:

  • Material: High-quality Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) (Dry your TPU before printing)
  • Design: Lattice structure offering exceptional flexibility and durability
  • Application: Ideal for a range of applications from industrial components to custom hobbyist projects

I strongly encourage experimentation with custom designs and shapes utilizing this lattice structure. The versatility of the design makes it suitable for a wide array of applications, encouraging creativity and innovation.

Printing Guidelines:

  • Printer Condition: Ensure your 3D printer is in top condition for optimal results.
  • Stringing and Cleanup: Be prepared for some stringing; however, it can be easily cleaned up with a hot air station.
  • Brim Addition: Adding a brim to your print is recommended for better adhesion and stability.
  • Profile Settings: If using a print-profile, no additional adjustments are needed. Just print it.
  • Spool Holder: Use the spool holder located at the back of the printer for best results.
  • Avoid AMS with TPU: To maintain the integrity of the TPU material, do not use AMS (Automatic Material System).
  • DISCLAIMER: Dont expect really high quality print. TPU is already hard to print and this model is one of the hardest with the amount of retraction needed each layer. I am open to criticism but be aware that rating the profile low because of your print quality is not good is not really my fault.

Usage Rights: This model is open for any purpose, be it personal, educational, or commercial. I encourage users to explore and create custom designs, further pushing the boundaries of what can be achieved with this structure.

Thanks for sharing! It requires some post processing. You can use heatgun or a lighter to clean stringing and cut the excess bits with plyers. After that it looks way better.

Replying to @berkeozkir :
I used a lighter to get some of the outer stringing but If I had access to a heat gun I bet that would work well

printed well but i need to adjust some of my settings to reduce stringing

Which settings did you adjust? Asking to learn from you. My prints came off pretty stringless after I dry TPU.

excellent, worked exactly as described and looks as it does in the photo. I should really remix this model.
