Used in setting up a guitar, this relief gauge can measure the height of the string above the fret. This is especially useful in determining how much material to remove from the nut to get the proper relief at the first few frets.

Printing:
I used 0.35mm layer heights on the body for strength, and 0.1mm layer heights on the cap for detail. Print the body upside down and you won't need any supports.

Assembly:
1) Install the Cap over the tip of the dial indicator. The indicator comes with a rounded end unsuitable for our purposes since the string will roll off, and this cap simply gives it a squared off end.
2) Insert the dial indicator into the hole at the top of the body. It should be a snug fit. Be careful not to push too hard on the plunger end of the indicator, which should pass through the body unimpeded.

Use:
Place the indicator over the string at the first fret. The dial indicator has a little more spring force than we'd like, so you'll need to manually lift the plunger until it just contacts the string. Then zero the dial and press down until the string seats on the fret.
