Description

This is a remix of the model N3RD Solutions posted, so a big thank you to him for making the original.

The original doesn't have a hollow back which can interfere with the hardware making it not flush to the wall.

Double version: https://makerworld.com/en/models/133809#profileId-145201

Triple version: https://makerworld.com/en/models/146168#profileId-159136

The changes made from the original design are the following:

  • Added a hollow back to better fit that hardware
  • Rounded the edges a bit to give it a more finished look
  • Deepened the screw holes to have a more flushed look

I have added the 3mf file of the project that includes custom-painted supports as well as my model-specific tested support settings that make it relatively easy to take off with the printer clippers. I have also added the variable height function to speed up the print a bit where detail is not needed.

*Disclaimer*

Normal switch covers are typically fire resistant while normal pla is not. You are responsible for your own safety, as am I. The chances of an electrical fire are slim but never zero. Do what you will with that information.

sorry to hear that man. You're the first who has mentioned issues with the supports not printing. Maybe try thick bridges? I believe its an option you can turn on towards the bottom of the quality page.

Replying to @edzill :
I just tried printing from the app so I’ll have to get on slicer and change it and try again. I did the flat one fine. I’m sure I’ll get it right.

turned out well with lots of detail. maybe too much detail. I’m going to try it again with a larger slice and see if it comes out just a bit quicker. fun gag overall, though!

Hmm I did add variable layer height so the portion that doesn't need the detail uses .2 layer height while the actual statue uses .08 and it saved a bit of time but I can understand that the 2.4 hrs can be a bit of a long print even then haha. Appreciate the download and rating though!
