Simply use the painted profiles provided to print your very own Plankton Extruder cover!
There are only 2 parts:
The Cover: This clips on exactly like the stock cover. Clip the top in first and give a firm press somewhere near Planktons mouth to locate the bottom 2 clips. The cover was painstaking modelled to be as close to the original as possible and still be printable.
The Eye: Pull off your stock visualizer and replace with the eye. It push fits onto the stock shaft with a firm press. It should be tight up to the plastic casing when fully seated.
Separated into 2 plates requiring 4 colours per plate, this print is achievable on any Bambu Lab printer with only 1 AMS.
Total print time is around 1hr30mins for a full colour Plankton.
*Please ensure your bed is clean before printing. Good bed adhesion is crucial for a nice looking Plankton. If the first layer doesn't stick perfectly, then it will ruin the whole print. Please don't rate the profile negatively if the parts don't stick as it is not an issue with the model or profile. It is most likely going to be an oily fingerprint or other form of residue, that is creating a barrier between the first layer and the build plate.
Tip: It only takes about 15 more minutes to print 2 covers - So if you have more than one printer, just ‘clone’ each part and print the desired amount at the same time.
Bring a bit of fun nostalgia to your print room with this iconic character from the SpongeBob franchise.
