Description

Compact key holder with adjustable angle

Are you tired of large and messy key rings? Are your keys hitting your knees during driving?
Here is the solution.

You will need to buy:
● 2 pcs of (black) DIN 7991 / ISO 10642 M3 x L10 (or L6-15) screws, or other type of countersunk screw
● M3 tap
● maybe a 5.5mm drill to enlarge holes in keys

Instructions:
● measure the height of your keys, substract 0.5mm (and add 2mm to that number if you will use the connector)
● choose connector length variant by your largest key - so that it can rotate around

● scale the shaft to that dimension in your slicer and print it
● shaft should be printed from nylon
● insert your keys onto the shaft, shaft should be little bit shorter than the stack of keys. If it is not, then you won't be able to clamp the keys together
● carefully thread both ends of the shaft with M3 tap so it doesn't break
● use first screw to attach head washer to one end of the shaft
● insert your keys onto the shaft, insert connector part in the middle
● use second screw to attach head washer to the other end of shaft
● tighten or loosen the second screw to adjust tension between keys
● if screws are loosening on their own, then thread the shaft less deep - screw will thread the rest of the shaft on its own with tighter tolerance
● you should be able to add a few more keys to the same shaft just by loosening the screws, or using longer ones
● if you need to remove some keys from the holder, you can cut the shaft to shorten it or replace the substracted keys by standard M5 or M6 washers (or print one and scale the height)
● it is possible that the shaft or connector will break after prolonged usage, but mine works for almost a year now
