A simple tool to help you adjust the balance of your hotbed more easily.
It basically converts the vertical movement to horizontal so you can mount the dial indicator horizontally, and put the whole set under the nozzle instead of finding a way to fix it on tool head.
You will need
8×m3×12 screws for assemble the frame.
Most indicator with 8mm tube/bushing would works, it is much cheaper than a professional tool setting probe.
2×m3×6 screws, one as the contact point with nozzle, another for adjust the height of the tear part.
There are two types of balance bars and you can print either one. One is a split balance bar and pivot point, which is a more sensitive design, but has to be put in the correct position before each use.
The other is one piece but for unsupported prints it's still two parts and I would suggest it's best to glue them together. The one piece balance bar you don't have to worry about misalignment but it's not as sensitive. Also when slicing make sure that the Z-seam is not in the middle of the pivot.
Print balance bar with ABS or other sturdy and high temperature filament, other parts can be printed by any hard filament.
