Description

“Box Of Everlasting Roses With Custom Name Tag”

Perfect gift for your significant other that you can customize to celebrate your relationship on Valentine's Day.

This box of roses doesn't need water and will never wilt away.

To customize the Name Tag:

- Press on Object under Process
- Rightclick on Textshape
- Change your Text (you can also choose different fontsizes and styles here)

How to build:

Print all the parts out; the provided design is optimized to cut down print time while maintaining a high-quality finish.

Insert the pins into the roses. Place the inlay into the rose box.

The inlay needs to be printed without top and bottom layers. The exposed infill will act as a guiding grid for the roses.

The name tag is aligned on the front side of the box. Fix the name tag in place with some glue. There is also a version without the name tag that can be found in the raw model files.

Put the lid on and gift it to your loved ones.

I am not sure others take, but I am having a "heck" of a time getting the inlay into the container. Using a rubber mallet and it still does not want to slide down to the lip on the inside (I need it to at least clear the name plate hole). Any suggestions? Hate to reprint the whole thing again (doubt I will get the inlay out now without destroying it), but I would rather print the inlay with a little less tight and use some glue...

Crazy, for me, it was possible to slide the inlay down by hand with not much force. Perhaps you can use some oil like WD-40 to make it easier?

Yeah mine barely started in the top and just continued to be a bear to get as far as I have it... I am going to see if I can pull out the inlay without totally destroying it, but don't think I can as it is now so tight.. But just to confirm, I assume the inlay just go so that none of it is exposed in the name plate hole, correct?

Oh one more thing.. Great use of the infill being the pattern for the inlay rather then the model itself being the pattern! in fact I might just do some small test prints with just a mm high inlay to make sure the fit works better..

Very nice and it put a big smile on the face of my wife. I added another inlay on the inside of the top cover and used three different color variations on the roses (PolyTerra lava red, shadow red and sunrise) and it printed very well with the exception that one of the sepals on the bottom of the rose flowers is floating with no attachment to the main body of the flower. I could have merged in a simple shape in to that area to fix it if I'd known beforehand but then again it's on the underside and not the "main attraction" area of this project. I also read previous comments ( @heyandy ) with the inlay being rather tight so I resized the inlay to 99.7% in both x and y directions prior printing which, in my case, made fit with slight resistance but still being able to remove it without too much effort.

les roses sont peut-être un petit peu trop épaisse, mais sinon, c’est vraiment très joli.
