Very nice solution and great way to keep the foot print down while avoiding a lot of weight above the printer!
Edit: just printed. Had to orient the handle to print on its side to have strength. It was a bit hard to screw into the base because of the support material, so I had to remove the mangled threads but was able to force the screw into the hole. Seems to hold just fine and saves a couple inches from the external spool holder.
Still need to print the securing pegs and re-route the tube and power cable.
Hey there, I made a slight tweak to have the bend at a 90 degree angle but Im not able to upload due to the license you have. Are you able to update so I can add as a remix of your work?
Thanks, it didnt seem to update though. If you'd like, I can upload the model and in the description I can credit you with a link to your model.
Just let me know, I want to ensure you receive the credit as due. Thank you!
Hi there, Im a total newb at 3d design but I was playing around in tinkercad and made a slight variation to have the spool be more in line with the build plate.
