Description

Pistachio / Snacks Bowl

I created this as a Pistachio snacks bowl - one side for Pistachios, the other side for waste shells but these are equally useful as my daughter demonstrated for small sweets & other snacks.

They also would work really well for kids party spreads where individual small volumes of goodies are key.

Items like the following would work really well in small quantities at the standard size:

  • Popcorn
  • Chocolate Raisins
  • Quality Street / Hero's or similar

When you're done, they stack nicely in the cupboard taking up minimal space.

Bowl Base

Announcement: I have also made available a base for this bowl, which perfectly fits the profiles of the curves and gives these bowls, when not stacked away a more grown up feel.  If you prefer a more stylised option, I have also uploaded a split version of this bowl, where the two halves are not connected.  Note that this split version needs to be used with the base.

Other information and disclaimers

  • Cover picture is of fuzzy skin print profile. Other profile has been slowed to try and maintain wall gloss consistent across prints.
  • 3d printing is not ideal from a bacterial build-up perspective due to layer lines - select items wisely if prolonged reuse of bowls are planned.
  • Whatever you do, please pick a better colour when printing than my proto-typing white.

Very small. If I scale up, support are needed. Not tested.

So, I'm not sure what size you wanted, but if its just that these don't hold enough nuts, you can non-uniform scale the model in the Z direction without any issues with needing new supports. That will give you more 'storage' space in the bowl, although change the aesthetics. Looking at the model, I can't see why you would need supports either unless you scale too far, but this isn't designed to be a full bed print. If you scale too far, you will get some drooping across the point where the two halves join, but you won't get a print failure because of it. The model / print profile is designed to maximise bridging efficiency already using correctly aligned bridges and minimal support filament over that area. Anyway - hope it helps and I would request a 4* review instead of 3 as that is effectively a negative review, which seems somewhat unfair.
