Description

An Atlas headrest adapter for the Steelcase Karman. Everything is toolless and press-fitted by hand.

Printed with PLA basic/PETG basic.

My first ever CAD model and first time using CAD software so feedback is greatly appreciated.

Based on SamuraiKek's adapter for the Leap v2 https://github.com/SamuraiKek/atlas-leap-v2

UPDATE: V2 may not look the most polished atm, but the difference in rigidity and comfort are too large to not include right away.

How to attach:
1. Fully unlock backrest.

2. Facing the back of your chair, hook the Main Mount to the top frame.

3. Apply pressure on the top of the backrest, pulling the frame of the chair backwards.

4. While applying pressure, hook in the bottom of the Mount to the horizontal bar on the back of the chair (requires a bit of force).

You can technically stop here, but you may notice a small gap where the mount hooks onto the horizontal bar of the back, causing the to slightly shift left and right. You can remedy this with the Wedge included in the parts.

Attaching the wedge:

1. Take the Wedge and orient it so both pieces create a “C” clamp around the metal bar.

2. Place the Wedge between the gap, and hook in one side to the Main Mount.

3. Firmly push the Wedge diagonally into the Main Mount from the same side, while gently pulling out the other hook.

With enough luck the wedge will secure itself and not break.
