Description

This Bandit Heeler (Dad from the Bluey Family) was a project for my 3-year-old girl who adores the show (we love it too!). This version uses 4 colors and parametric blending techniques to get even more colors (6) in the final print by blending thin layers to create different shades. Thank you for downloading and happy printing!

Colors:

(Important note) Matte filaments do NOT work well for blending as they are much more opaque than standard PLA meaning they do not allow light/color to pass through.

Bambu PLA white

Polymaker Aqua Blue (or other cyan colors works well)

Bambu PLA Basic Gold (you can get away with many different yellow/gold colors)

Bambu PLA black

Came out beautiful. I love the layering effects on the colors. Used: * Bambu basic PLA white * Bambu basic PLA black * Sunlu PLA cyan * Sunlu PLA gold

fantastic! the sunlu gold looks even better than the Bambu gold. how close would you say the match is in person?

the sunlu gold looks like a spot on match for Bandit and Bluey's nose and ears. does it looksm that close in person? I may need to pull the trigger on some.

I used Bambu Lab PLA Metal - Cobalt Blue. (It's what I had available.) It didn't work for the shading. I also Used Overture PLA Silk - Copper. The copper might be a little dark for this as well. But, I like the shine of both filaments.

It still looks pretty cool but yes it needs to be a basic PLA for the blending to work properly. Matte/silk/metal/sparkle don't work for the color blending. Thank you for rating!

i didnt have yellow so i took orange 🙂👌. thanks for the File awesome 👍. how do you make the color Change in the swcond layer ? you should make a Video over that realy cool way to think 🙂👌

It printed great. I used a yellow that mostly worked, the pc doesn’t quite reflect how it looks in person.

Great print, used a textured bed and looks awesome. Super impressed with the color blending making muliple shades of blue using another color behind. Awesome trick I’ll have to learn it!
