Description

IMPORTANT NOTE - For a perfect Slinky print:

Please note that not every filament is equally suitable for the Slinky. I have had the best experiences with Silk-PLA. Therefore, I recommend printing the test piece after calibrating the filament to ensure that the layers separate properly.

  • clean the print bed with dish soap, use a glue stick if needed, and calibrate the filament.

  • There's a test print in the print profile; please print it if you have any doubts.

Discover the fun and soothing effect of your self-printed Slinky! This 3D printing file allows you to create your own Slinky toy comfortably at home. The Slinky will definitely excite the kids. It's an ideal toy that promotes creativity and fine motor skills!

After Printing:
On your Slinky, you will find special grooves. These indicate precisely where you need to cut. Use a sharp knife or a spatula to gently separate the Slinky along these grooves (see picture).

Important Notes on Slicing:
If a message appears during slicing to realign the object or to turn on support generation, ignore this message. The support generation must remain off to maintain the correct design of the Slinky.

Is the 100mm Slinky too small for you? HERE you can find the Slinky XL with an impressive size of 200mm!

Enjoy your self-printed Slinky!

An deinem Slinky findest du spezielle Rillen.

Wichtiger Hinweise beim Slicen:

Your Filament is not calibrated. You have massive overextrusion.

I’m not understanding. All my other prints are perfect. Wouldn’t what you’re saying effect my other prints also?

It depends on the model. In "Print in Place" parts, it becomes noticeable quickly if the filament flow isn't right, while other models may not require such precision. You're not the first to encounter issues due to uncalibrated filament; check out the other comments. On the flip side, some have achieved excellent results with the same print profile because they use well-calibrated filament. Try these steps and afterwards print only the little slinky-testpart to check out if you can seperate it: https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/software/bambu-studio/calibration_flow_rate

A1 Mini - 0.2mm layer, 3 walls, 50% infill
When we discovered the original wasn't quite big enough to do the stairs, we printed a second at 150%. They both work great, and printed in silk with no issues. I bent gently in the middle to separate one section, then the rest just followed. Super easy.
