Description

Keep your electronics cooler and your print chamber hotter!

For everyone wanting to print more technical materials (or just wanting to extend the longevity of the printer) you will want to have your chamber hot but that comes with the price that you will heat up part of your electronics. Unfortunately these printers don't really separate the electronics from the print chamber air, meaning that when when your chamber is hot, your electronics will be hot.

I remixed these designs for better fitment. This will block all the ventilations and/or blank space, between printing volume air and the electronics air.

Just print it in PETG, ABS, ASA, and stick it in place using double sided tape.

I advise to use this part in conjunction with my other parts to separate the air and keep the electronics cool:

Improvement over the original design: I made the plate a big thinner, I noticed that when the tool head was as far back as possible, there was a little more than 1mm gap between the part. If it came loose it could hit the tool head, so I made it thinner to give some more clearance.

Special thanks to the original designer MandicReally for his really amazing work designing these! Check his Youtube videos, it has a lot of usefull information!

the designer should note that all parts do NOT fit the XC1. The XC1 has a fan which makes the plate for that side useless unless you modify it. I end up modifying it so it should be mentioned on your description and a proper fitting part should be added to your collection. I have two Carbons so my second one I modified your file to fit. Your other file worked out great and I thank you for sharing them as it makes a big difference. I’m seeing 5 to 6 degrees Celsius difference.

You say to print this in PETG, ASA or ABS but your profile is for PLA

Yes, that's true, btu it's intentional. Basically if I had uploaded a profile for ABS, some people would print it using PLA without noticing and could end up clogging it. I just assume that people that print with PETG or ASA, ABS are a bit more knowledgeable and will be able to detect it, and change accordingly! I'm not sure if it's the best way, but I just assumed it's the safest way!

Replying to @APEngineering :
yes, it's an unfortunate limitation of makerworld. The only thing I would suggest is that I would hope that people wanting to print these pieces are already using ABS, ASA, PC so would already have these filaments on hand.

Isn't that vent for the Active Carbon Filter exhaust? P1S and X1C has a purpose for that vent filtration.

Yes, but when you print technical filaments (like ABS) it's not working because otherwise temperature of the chamber goes down and your part warps!

Can't print this piece unless I export it as an STL for some reason, I get the error here: https://forum.bambulab.com/t/updated-local-printing-now-failing-with-ftp-access-denied-errors/39853/12
