Description

Usage

This storage system is designed to store the following Marvel Champions items for quick setup:

  • Villain Dial
  • Hero Dials x4
  • Confused / Stunned / Tough Cards
  • Hit Point Tokens
  • Threat Tokens
  • All Purpose Counters
  • Acceleration Tokens
  • 1st Player Token

It is also modular, allowing some degree of customization.  If you are using custom condition tokens (instead of cards), you can simply print an extra “Tokens - Even Spacing” Tray to accommodate.  Or if you are using dice for HP, you can simply ignore the dial boxes altogether.

The storage stacks and locks into place with magnets and guiding tabs.  Print 2x lids if you want to store this in two separate stacks to fit in the Marvel Champions box.  I store mine in a Dragonshield Magic Carpet 1000 XL.  This is sized to fit exactly within.  The “Lid - Grip” has cut outs to allow you to lift the entire nested system out of the Magic Carpet.

Due to the size restrictions for fitting in the Dragonshield box, the condition card tray does not work with sleeves.

Printing

To fit all standard items, print the following:

  • 1x Villain Dial
  • 1x Hero Dials
  • 3x Tokens - Biased
    • 1 for Threat
    • 1 for HP
    • 1 for All Purpose Counters, with the larger space for Accleration Tokens and 1st Player Marker
  • 1x Lid

This takes approx 7 hours of print time and 296g of filament.

You will also need 8x magnets sized 6mm x 2mm thk.  Be very careful about the magnet polarity when installing these.  All of the magnets on the top faces must be the opposite as the bottom faces (i.e. top faces of all trays is North, while the bottomf aces of all trays is South).  This will allow you to nest them easily in any order.

The magnets holes are designed to be 0.10mm oversized, which is very close.  Depending on your printer, the magnets may be a bit tight or loose.  Use superglue or epoxy to keep the magnets stable.
