Historical background:

The Panzer VI Tiger Ausf. E, often simply referred to as the "Tiger," was a formidable German heavy tank that played a significant role in armored warfare during World War II. Renowned for its thick armor and powerful 88mm gun, the Tiger was a fearsome opponent on the battlefield.

The Bergetiger, based on the Tiger tank chassis, was a specialized recovery vehicle. It was equipped with a winch and crane system to recover and repair damaged or disabled tanks and other vehicles, ensuring the continuous operation of armored units.

The "Hollywood Tiger," also known as the "Kelly's Heroes Tiger," is a fictional variant of the Tiger tank that appeared in the 1970 war film "Kelly's Heroes." This version featured unique cosmetic modifications for cinematic purposes, including painted tiger stripes.

The SturmTiger, officially known as the Sturmtiger 380mm RW61 auf Sturmmörser Tiger, was another specialized Tiger variant. It was designed for demolishing urban and fortified structures with its massive 380mm rocket launcher, making it a powerful weapon for urban warfare.

Each of these Tiger variants had a distinctive role and place in military history. The Tiger and SturmTiger were used in combat operations, while the Bergetiger played a critical role in recovery and maintenance support. The "Hollywood Tiger" is a testament to the enduring cultural impact of the Tiger tank in popular media.
