Description

WHAT IS IT?

The monitor stand included with the AOC i2269VW is quite tall compared to the size of the monitor, and I was having trouble getting the monitor to fit on a shelf with it. Therefor, I made this slim stand to replace the original. It uses the screws holding the original stand on. This might work on other monitors, but I don't know.

ADDITIONAL HARDWARE NEEDED

  • The 4 screws holding on the original stand.

MY PRINT SETTINGS

I recommend you print this as strong as you can. I printed mine with 25% infill with PLA, but it's a bit flimsy. I recommend doing a higher infill and perhaps thicker walls. I've also since modified the design to have a slightly thicker base and support arms compared to the original version that I printed, so yours should be much more sturdy regardless.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. (optional) There's an included “tester.obj” file that I recommend you print first. This will help ensure your printer is calibrated correctly and the screw holes will line up before you spend more hours and filament. If you're confident in your printer's dimensional accuracy, you may skip this step.
  2. Download, slice, and print the “MonitorStand.obj” file.
  3. Disassemble your monitor stand:
  • Use the flip-up tab on the bottom of the base to unscrew the arm.
  • Remove the base.
  • Use a slim object, such as a thin screwdriver, to pry off protective cover along the bottom of the monitor. There are some hidden snaps.
  • Unscrew the screws holding on the stand, there should be 4 of them. Keep those screws, we'll need them.
  • Remove the original monitor stand.

4. Screw on the new monitor stand with the original screws.
