Description

I separated the main STL file made by original creator (whisperit) https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6364915.

I also modified the size of the SSD cover to support heatsinks. You should print the backplate standing up and use supports and support blockers.

You will need these brass insets M2x3x3.5mm and also soldering iron with small tip (small enough to hold the insets) or a 3d pen (or you can use something else to hold insets while you heat them up to melt the parts) to assemble the stock hinge with the kickstand. You can buy them from here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B8GN63S2?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

Is that the bambulab royal blue PLA-CF? It looks nice. BTW, didn't you see my newest design, it has a better grill, has a way to properly secure the ssd cover.

Nice I have that filament but have not used it, I think might use it to print controller shells for the Go.

printed perfect on an a1 mini. esun pla+ 50% speed with supports enabled. printed straight up. angle diagonally on bed to fit. I just wish it had provisions for a thicker nvme hestsink for us folks who want it. I’m love the venting design

Thank you for sharing, I have shared a thicker ssd cover in the files (kickplate-ssd-cover-xxl.stl). Did you print that one or just the default?. By the way I have created much better designs (In my opinion), check them out here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/385426?from=search#profileId-285784

Thanks for this. It printed perfectly. Any chance you could release a version without the kickstand?

is it required to use PETG to print the back plate? I'm only using Bambu Lab PLA Matte and printing it standing the mesh parts falls apart while printing, i would appreciate any suggestion or recommendation, or can try printing it laying down, please and thanks. using A1 3d printer

It is not mandatory however it would work better against the what generated by the Go. However if you are gonna print the one with the ssd cage, then PLA might be borderline to pla glass transition temperature.

well... I printed in ABS on P1S. It Looks good, but Not nearly as good as the usuall "almost perfekt" way most other Prints came out so far. its functional though.

Weird, it does print good in ABS, I'm using Creality black ABS in this print. So maybe your print settings or something?
