Description

I cook a lot so I buy canned goods by the case at a warehouse store (Costco, BJ's, etc.). In order to keep my pantry organized, I made a can dispenser that will hold 15 standard fruit/vegetable cans (14.5 - 15 oz.) and keep them rotated so I am always using the oldest can first! This design holds the cans well and rotates pretty smoothly. It is easy to fill from the top, front so you do not have to take it out of the pantry to refill. Total size is 400mm x 350mm.

It is also designed to insert custom labels into the front slot so that you can change the contents of the dispenser if you would like by simply switching labels.

Prints very well using PLA and the default Bambu Lab settings for PLA.

Printing Information

-Round fasteners slide over center round support to provide additional stability (on fastener plate)

-Clip fasteners clip the side components together (on fastener plate)

-Textured plate gives a nice, finished look (optional)

-Can be printed in any color to match your decor

Finishing Information

-Gave it stability using 13 M3x10 screws (pre-threaded but a small round file on the hole opening can help start the screws)

-I used these: Amazon.com: 440 Pcs M3 Small Metric Screws with Nuts, Hex Socket Head Cap and Nut Assortment Kits, Alloy Steel Replacement Machine Fastener Screws and Bolts Nuts (Black) : Industrial & Scientific

-Recommend using a touch of super glue on each of the round fasteners and where it joins together are the very top, but neither are necessary

-Glue is not used on the clip fasteners, but can be if you wish

-I made 6 labels for popular cans of this size. They have separate print profiles for various colors.

So far printing nicely. Would you possibly be able to take one that is 280mm by 350mm. I have a lazy Susan cabinet that I would love to put this in. I should have read the size first. Other than the length it is looking great. ignore the misfit section was using so of my lower amount filament to get rid of the, lol. But I know tons of people who will love this when it is done. Would really like a smaller version if you are up to it.

Hi Ktkatz, Thank you for printing my model, it is looking great! I am working on some additional ones (one for soup cans and a smaller version for smaller pantry shelves). I am not sure of my timeline, but follow my profile and you should be able to see them when they are posted. Thank you!

I made a remix that is smaller, it's sizing is approximately 12.5 inches (317mm) tall by 15.75 inches (400mm) deep as I needed on a bit smaller as well. Not sure if it will meet your needs or not. https://makerworld.com/en/models/210569#profileId-230371

pineapple & peaches for sure. I’m sure there are others like chickpeas, black beans, and refried beans.

I have added a generic "Vegetables" label, a generic "Fruits" label and a blank label due to several requests. When I have the time, I will try to produce more specific labels, but hopefully these will suffice in the short term. Happy printing!

Questions... Are you able to post a "blank" label. Our school has a food pantry and I think this would be perfect! They have a bunch of canned pasta products that would be awesome! Also, are they stackable? Thanks in advance ! Love this design! Also, would like to officially put in my vote for additional can sizes like the smaller soups and larger progresso type of soups. If you make a modular design where they are the same heights, I think you'll know it out of the park!

I have added a generic "Vegetables" label, a generic "Fruits" label and a blank label due to several requests. I am also working on a smaller dispenser for soup cans that will be stackable. I am printing the first prototype now. Once I confirm everything works properly, I will be posting. Happy printing!

Hey, I have been looking for a can dispenser print like this. Is there a way the model could be re-designed to make it more vertical? The cabinet I want to put them on are not deep enough... Height would not be an issue, but depth more like max 300mm instead 400mm? Or will that mess up the mechanism?

Hello, Unfortunately the model cannot just be shortened in length. it would misalign the rails that guide the cans. It would be possible, but it would require a complete redesign. I have been working on a smaller one, but I do not have a timeframe. I have a lot of projects I am doing currently.
